In the fall of 2021, Tiffany Moore swiped right on a twice divorced gentleman for his smile and description. Their first phone call lasted more than three hours as they deeply explored each other’s thoughts and backgrounds. At 50, Fredrick was still convinced that he could find love if he kept working on himself. Tiffany, 51, resisted the conclusion that many of her friends had that her standards were too high and the man of her dreams was just that.

Based on their collective determination they set off on a course of rewriting the rules of relationships. Couples would meet and would shovel their individual positives to each other but spoon feed the negatives gradually, if at all. Tiffany and Fredrick were vulnerable from the very beginning about their struggles, failures and less impressive traits. These conversations created a foundation for a relationship where problems became a group project and no fingers were pointed.

Fredrick, who lives with his teenage son, watched as Tiffany quickly built a warm and meaningful relationship with him. The adjustment to Fredricks dog, Delphini, took a bit longer. Delphini, a confident, loving, and determined young Shiba Inu, decided that Tiffany would love him, and despite her initial hesitation, she eventually fell for his persistent advances.
